Fans looking forward to the 3D releases of Star Wars II – Attack of the Clones and Stars Wars III – Revenge of the Sith will have to learn patience. Following the announcement last week that J.J. Abrams (creator of the TV series Lost and director of 2009’s Star Trek movie) is taking the helm for Episode IV, Lucasfilm has confirmed that the proposed autumn 2013 releases have been postponed to focus all its energy on the sequel.
While fans are sure to be disappointed in the delay (especially for the fight scenes in Episode III), the news that Lucasfilm are determined to provide fans with the ‘best possible experience’ for Episode IV surely warms the hearts of fanboys and girls across the galaxy.
