With the recent spoilers surrounding the beloved TV couple, it’s no secret that Kurt and Blaine (Klaine) are going to be running into some problems in the forthcoming season of Glee.

Hysteria within the Glee fandom was caused back in August when it was revealed that David Karofsky (played by Max Adler) would be returning for the sixth and final season of the hit show with a major arc as a new love interest for Blaine.

Fans were beside themselves thinking about the couple splitting; but, after months of worry, Glee writers and directors Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk put troubled minds at ease. In a recent interview with E! Online, Ryan Murphy said the following:

You have to have obstacles to have a happy ending, Murphy explains. I’ve spent a year learning what they want. We have a list in the writers’ room that says, ‘What do the fans want to end that show?’ And our endings are all very uplifting, and I think by the end of it, people will be ecstatic and really thrilled by how things turn out. I am.

Max is slated to appear in four episodes along with other original guest stars Heather Morris, Naya Rivera, Dianna Agron and Mark Salling.

After the huge backlash against Glee and its writers once the Karofsky news had spread, Brad Falchuk responded by saying:

I have a lot of angry tweets. But look, it’s a new season and we’re exploring some stuff. We love Kurt. We love Blaine. We love them together. We love them apart. We love them all kinds of ways. And I think that their relationship is a really great place to explore some more complicated stories. Really, it’s going to be OK.

Glee is set to return for it’s final season consisting of 13 episodes in early 2015.
