So the Stars Wars news these days is never ending and we wouldn’t want it any other way, right? Well some of the biggest news out of the Star Wars universe this week is music to the ears of die hard old school Star Wars fans.
The possible return of Lando Calrissian in future Star Wars movies.
Lawrence Kasdan, the screenwriter behind The Empire Strikes Back and The Force Awakens, told Vanity Fair in a recent interview that though there’s no Lando in the seventh episode of the series, we have yet to see the end of everyone’s favorite rogue hero. OK second favorite (chill out Han Solo fans…).
“Right now, there’s no Lando Calrissian in this movie. But Lando I don’t think is finished in any way, shape, or form,” Kasdan told Vanity Fair.
For those of you who don’t know Lando Calrissian as portrayed by Billy Dee Williams in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. And by the way, if you don’t know who Lando is, you must turn your Star Wars fan card in immediately.
It would make sense to see Lando return in future Star Wars films considering he appears frequently in the Star Wars “Expanded Universe” of novels, comic books and video games.
Though it’s no guarantee, it certainly sounds like a strong possibility. And with that the Star Wars fandom did this:
