Ryan Reynolds Confirmed As Deadpool

Ryan Reynolds confirmed that he will reprise the role of Deadpool in an upcoming independent film.

Looks like Deadpool was a good boy this year because he’s finally making progress towards an actual movie.

This past summer, marvel fans were treated to some footage of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool:

Today, Reynolds has officially confirmed on twitter his part as the merc with a mouth:

The X-Men spin-off is highly anticipated by fans everywhere after the haphazard portrayal of Reynolds’ Deadpool in the big bust that was X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The movie had a nice introduction to Reynolds’ version of Wade Wilson who was pretty sharp with his snark and his katanas, too.

For some reason, the movie decided to turn Wilson into the complete opposite of the 4th wall obliterating, sarcasm loving smart mouthed Deadpool we all know and have to love. Instead of having some drastic event happen to Wilson to eventually lead to the red suit that he is well known for, “Deadpool” was a mute mutated super monster thing with katanas coming out of his arms.

By some sort of luck, Reynolds and Deadpool are getting a second chance with their own spinoff movie. The test footage restored the faith of many fans in Reynolds in his portrayal of a more accurate Deadpool instead of the silent death monstrosity that we were initially given.

Deadpool is scheduled to begin filming in March with its’ release tentative for February 2016.
