The scariest thing about this news is not that this is only Justin’s second number 1 in the UK, but the fact that it has been 6 and a half years since we’ve been blessed with this angel’s sweet falsetto voice. That being said on to the facts, Timberlake’s last number one was “SexyBack” hitting the top spot in the UK back in September 2006. Sure, he had made it close with his previous hits (“Like I Love You”, “Rock Your Body”, “Cry Me a River”), but they only were able to peak at number 2.
Out selling London band Bastille by 13,000 was just enough to secure Timberlake’s “Mirrors” the number one spot. The boys of One Direction fell to the number 3 position, and Pink featuring Nate Ruess’ “Just Give Me a Reason” rounds out the top 10.
We are 15 days outs from the 20/20 experience, are you ready? I’m sure if you are like me, you are more than ready. 6 ½ years is a long time, but it’s looking like it was well worth the wait!
