Seemingly taking a leaf out of Justin Bieber’s handbook, Rihanna was late to the stage at a concert in Boston Monday night, the rescheduled stop on her Diamonds world tour. The show was originally postponed back in March due to the singer suffering with laryngitis. Doors opened at TD Garden at 7:30pm, reportedly expecting Rihanna to take to the stage at 9pm. Following the opening act A$AP Rocky turning out to be a no-show, the headliner finally appeared at 10:30pm to jeers and boos from the angry crowd.
The rumour mill has already been at work speculating about the singer’s tardiness, and it has been suggested that Rihanna may have been late as she was watching the Chicago Bulls play against the Miami Heat.
Rihanna later posted a photo of the concert to her Instagram, captioning, “#BOSTON I will never forget this night!!! I truly have deeper love for you now!!! Thank you for making it extra special!! #DWT”
