Rob Zombie Expresses An Interest In Lords Of Salem Sequel

Rob Zombie fans will be happy to learn that the writer and director has officially commented on a potential sequel to his small budget film Lords Of Salem.

Well this was certainly some unexpected potential sequel news!

In 2013, Rob Zombie released a film about a coven of ancient witches titled Lords Of Salem, which he wrote, directed, and produced. The film was released to limited theaters with its main release on DVD and Blu-Ray. At the time of its conception, Zombie expressed an interest to try something different and original for his next project, and the film received mixed reviews from critics but was undoubtedly eerie. On his official Facebook page recently, the man of many talents responded to a fan’s inquiry about a potential sequel to Lords Of Salem, writing, “Lords was the most successful film I’ve had on DVD…so another one could be done for sure.”

The movie, staring his wife Sheri Moon Zombie, centers on Heidi Hawthorne, a DJ from Salem, Massachusetts who receives an odd box with a record from a band called the Lords Of Salem and when she listens she begins to hear chants that trigger her to have horrific visions. The film’s ending consists of a twisted and unexpected turn, so if there ever were to be a Lords Of Salem sequel, you can guarantee the story of her character Heidi will make for an interesting plot, and I definitely wouldn’t mind seeing what’s next.

What are your thoughts on a Lords Of Salem sequel film?
