The word “swoon” is overused in journalism nowadays, but there is no other word to describe how one might react to this video of Robin Thicke covering Icona Pop’s hit “I Love It.”
The “When I Get You Alone” and “Blurred Lines” singer performed this stunning stripped down acoustic version of the Icona Pop tune at BBC’s Radio 1 Live Lounge.
Take a look below:

Leave it to Thicke to take an up-tempo techno piece and turn it into a sexy, jazzy, soulful serenade. Many called his “Blurred Lines” “rape-y,” but this cover makes it seem as though Thicke is singing directly to you about how much he loves it.
Robin Thicke, we think we love it a tad bit more. Scratch that. A whole lot more. How is “Blurred Lines” your first major single? You’ve been around for so long, what has Top 40 done without you?
Even Lena Dunham loves this cover! She tweeted out the link to the YouTube video on Monday.
It’s standard journalism practice to ask what you think of this cover, but I think it’s safe to assume everyone is trying to recover from the sexiness of it. Report later, perhaps?
