'Roseanne' Revival Officially Ordered By ABC | Roseanne

It has been 20 years since Roseanne last aired but in 2018, we will get more!  News first broke of a Roseanne reboot a few weeks ago, but  on May 16th, ABC made the offical announcement that the show will be made. So far, we know that it should get eight episodes and premiere sometime midseason.  The orginal cast is set to return which makes this news even more exciting.  John Goodman and Roseanne Barr are really the key to any kind of success on a reboot coming back after so many years of absense.

We have some questions regarding this return though.  Don't get us wrong, we are excited because this show was both hilarious and touching back when it aired but we still have some thoughts.  If you haven't seen all of the original series, please look away because we have a few spoilers revolving around our questions.  Look away.  At the end of the series, we found out that Dan (John Goodman) had actually passed away after suffering a heart attack in an earlier season and that meant everything we'd been watching since was in Roseanne's (Roseanne Barr) imagination.  Many are wondering how the reboot will handle that fact when the show returns.  Will they ignore that fact and twist the plot again or will we go back into her imagination?  Only time will tell.

"The Conners’ joys and struggles are as relevant — and hilarious — today as they were then, and there’s really no one better to comment on our modern America than Roseanne,” ABC President Channing Dungey said regarding the reboot.  We agree. The Connor family always reflected the ongoing struggles of the real families watchin at home, and arguably, no show has done it better.  How do you feel about the reboot? Is this exciting news or are you filled with question too?  Time will tell.
