Fans of the British drama, Downton Abbey, have been following the lives of the aristocratic Crawley family.
Most are still very heartbroken over the series three finale. But are you ready for some minor casting news?
Royalty is making their way to the hit drama in the upcoming series. 18-year-old Flora Ogilvy, who is 45th in line to the throne, will join the cast as an extra.
It is unclear whether or not she’ll play an aristocrat or a servant. According to the Daily Express, she filmed a scene alongside Dame Maggie Smith and Hugh Bonneville, who both play prominent members of the Crawley family.
What makes Flora 45th in line to the throne? She is the granddaughter of Princess Alexandra of Kent, the Queen’s cousin. Her father James also happens to be the Queen’s godson.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (Prince William and Kate) who just recently became parents are big fans of the show. I can imagine the royal family is going to continue celebrating the family.
A Downton Abbey insider told the Daily Express that “there’s a lot of excitement among the royals and they will almost certainly be watching the new series now.”
We’ll be seeing Flora make her television debut in series four of Downton Abbey this September. The aspiring actress, however, will be attending St. Andrews University.
