His ex, Selena Gomez, has been dating The Weeknd, née Abel Tesfaye, for a few months now, and the pair have been taking their romance to the next level. They were going on romantic vacations, on tour together, and bracing themselves against the paparazzi and press. Even though they were trying to hide their romance, they made their love life known. However, there may be trouble in paradise.
Gomez just released her hot single “Bad Liar,” and gossip’s begun to spread. Have the pair gotten into a nasty fight!? When she sings, “I was walking down the street the other day/Then I see your face/ Ooh, you got someone else,” she could be alluding to her split from the “Party Monster” singer. However, she could also be referring to her first love Bieber. She was dating him for years before their nasty rift, so she could still be heartbroken over her loss.
Gomez definitely has drama. Her relationships just seem to go awry within months, and in a similar fashion reminiscent of Taylor Swift’s breakups. Hopefully, Gomez and The Weeknd are on good terms, though. Whether they’re in a relationship or not, they both seem to have love for one another. The magazine Elle described it best.
“Gomez and The Weeknd started publicly dating in January, but they wouldn’t go Instagram official until May at Coachella,” the outlet states. Even though they refrained from posting lovey-dovey pictures on their social media accounts, they were still packing PDA on their Olive Garden dinner dates or, most recently, at the Met Gala. No matter the time or the place, Gomez and her beau just had puppy-dog eyes for each other, and only for each other. Hopefully, the love between them hasn’t changed.
