Ealier this year, Marvel released a teaser trailer for Thor: Ragnarok but SDCC has prompted the release of a full length trailer and it's amazing! We see a glimpse of the battle between Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Hulk/Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) before we see that they are now teamed up to take on the Hela, the goddess of death (Cate Blanchett). The entire trailer is full of comical moments whether they come from Hulk, Thor or Loki, and of course those moments are mixed in with impending disaster.
And yes, we said Loki (Tom Hiddleston), he's back and in a much longer scene then in the original trailer and he's going to try to ride with the good guys once again to save Asgard. Besides these familiar faces, we also got a new glimpse of Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster and a new member of Team Thor, Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson). A face we haven't seen yet in any capacity is that of veteran actor Sam Neill, who starred with Goldum in Jurassic Park. Rumors of him being involved on either a small scale or large scale have been rustling through the leaves since the director was announced. Neill has a friendship with Taika Waititi since their work on Hunt for the Wilderpeople, which is a fantastic film. We are very much hoping Neill and Goldblum with reunite in this already epic looking film.
Here is the full trailer which you will watch over and over again shamelessly as we did. We paused on Loki's entrance as he is such a wonderful part of Thor series and we are very excited that based on the leaked footage, he'll be back in Avengers: Infinity War.
