SDCC Panel For ‘The Gifted’ Reveals Trailer For Season 2 | SDCC The Gifted Season 2 Trailer

Fox’s 'The Gifted' was well received for its short first season, gaining a renewal with ease, and now we have the trailer for season 2 which premieres on September 25th. The first season ended with a broken group after all the challenges they faced, looking like the X-Men of the past with two sides. We all wanted more before the credits even rolled on that season finale.

The panel brought some of the show’s biggest names to dish on what’s to come: Executive Producers Mat Nix and Jeph Loeb, Stephen Moyer (Reed Strucker), Sean Teale (Eclipse), Jamie Chung (Blink), Emma Dumont (Lorna), Blair Redford (John Proudstar), Natalie Alyn Lind (Lauren Strucker), and Skyler Samuels (Esme). The cast unveiled the trailer, watch below.

A time jump is obvious as the trailer begins showing Lorna at a more full term looking pregnancy. We still totally think she’s Magneto’s daughter, by the way. Lorna is making a lot of trouble across the city power grids and then we are introduced to a new character, the boss of the inner circle. Reva Paige is that leader and one of the strongest mutants to survive the events of 7/15 they’re always mentioning. We hope season 2 will shed some light on that mystery.

The stakes look as high as ever for the mutant underground, especially with friends on the other side now. During the panel, we learned more mutants will show up this season and we’re excited about that! This season is bringing us a mutant against mutant war. Can the underground face the inner circle and win? This is bigger then the X-Men versus Magneto and we are ready to see it all unfold. Based on a photo, also unveiled for SDCC, it appears they'll have to deal with delivering a baby as well. There certainly isn't too much on anyone's plate for The Gifed's second season.
