Sean Combs also known as P.Diddy, Diddy or Puff Daddy has finally topped Forbes annual Celebrity 100 list of the world’s highest paid celebrities. Despite being a perennial fixture in the list since its inception, this is the first time that the rapper and music mogul has ever broken into the top ten!
This is rather surprising since he has a net worth of around $820 million, which is way more than what other celebrities that have landed number one on the list before. You’d think that his yearly net worth for the past two decades would have had landed him in the top back then, but better late than never.
Forbes has estimated that he earned close to $130 million pre-tax during their 12 month scoring period. So he has more zeroes to add to his already huge personal value, and he is probably on his way to becoming a billionaire. The website Celebrity Net Worth currently ranks him 13th among entertainers when it comes to overall net worth and ranks him second in the rapper category with his friend Jay-Z, who earned more with an overall value of $900 million.
Speaking of Jay-Z, despite being richer, it seems that his wife is out earning him on a yearly basis. Beyonce ranks second in the Forbes list, earning around $105 million.
Meanwhile, billionaire author JK Rowling ranks third with earnings of around $95 million. Cristiano Ronaldo is once again the world’s highest paid athlete, coming in at number five with earnings of $93 million!
The controversial Howard Stern is the highest ranked talk show host at number seven and he has raked in around $90 million the past year.
Last year’s number one, Taylor Swift, has dropped to 49 after an inactive year, but she still managed to earn $44 million despite being mostly on vacation. Her ex, Calvin Harris, ranks higher at 40, with earnings of $48.5 million and he still remains as the world’s highest paid DJ.
The top ten is as follows,
- Sean “P.Diddy” Combs – $130 million
- Beyonce Knowles – $105 million
- Jk Rowling – $95 million
- Drake – $94 million
- Cristiano Ronaldo – $93 million
- The Weeknd – $92 million
- Howard Stern – $90 million
- Coldplay – $88 million
- James Patterson – $87 million
- LeBron James – $86 million
