Movie-goers going to watch the new Superman movie, The Man of Steel, will have another treat to look forward.
It has been announced that the first trailer for the second Hobbit film, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, will be shown when The Man of Steel opens on June 14th. For those of us who aren’t in the queue for the new Superman movie, the trailer will be available online from June 12th. It is expected to be the standard trailer length of 2:30 minutes.
Details are closely guarded on what we can expect to see in this trailer however I would suggest we may see a glimpse of Evangeline Lilly’s elf Tauriel especially considering the recently released image of Lilly in character. Another strong possibility is Orlando Bloom’s Legolas, due to the rumoured relationship between Tauriel and Legolas.
Of course the thing I am most excited for is the very likely debut of Smaug and hopefully some dialogue from the wonderful Benedict Cumberbatch.
So for Tolkien fans the wait is almost over, and I for one can’t wait for June 12th.
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug will be released on December 13th, a lovely early Christmas present for many.
