2016 and 2017 seems to be the perfect time to revive classic TV shows that many people loved. It's been five years since the last episode of Wizards of Waverly Place aired on Disney Channel, and, earlier this month, stars of the series Selena Gomez and David Henrie hung out and talked about the possibility of the return of the Russo family.
While Gomez and Henrie hung out, they talked about what their characters would be doing now. On her Instagram story, Gomez told her followers that "David, I think we should do a reunion.
Both of them speculated what Alex, Gomez's character, could be doing now. Gomez believes that Alex is single, and Henrie agrees.
"She's still trying to find herself," Henrie added about Alex. "She's now like 25 and she's still trying to figure things out."
Henrie seemed certain that Justin is doing just fine as well at this point in his life.
After Gomez voiced her confidence that her character was "killing the game," she asked her followers if they should do the reunion, because she definitely thinks so.
Based on social media, both Gomez and Henrie seemed to have a great time while hanging out together and got us all excited about the idea of if our favorite family of Wizards might make a return to our TV screens.
The last we saw of the Russo family, the series came to an end with everyone happy with where they had ended up. Alex had won the family wizard competition, Justin was able to keep his magical abilities thanks to Professor Crumbs' retirement and Max became the only mortal of the Russo children but was left in charge of the Waverly Sub Station from his parents.
