Selena Gomez began teasing Selenators with her new song “Fetish” on July 7th with a drop date of July 13th. Gomez gets aid from rapper Gucci Mane for this track and it pays off. The track is simple in the best way possible. “Fetish” is Gomez’s second track in the last few weeks with the release of Bad Liar on May 18th but there is no news of an album to follow which her be her first since 2015’s Revival.
“Fetish” is a sexy song with lyrics like:
“You got a fetish for my love
I push you out and you come right back
Don’t see a point in blaming you

Gomez has been teetering toward this confident tone since 2015’s “Good For You” but now she has fully achieved her own unique sound. She no longer caters her tracks to sound like everything else on the radio but allows her own individual vibe shine bright. We are loving Gomez’s new sound and the bold confidence that it exudes. Gomez doesn’t have powerhouse vocals like Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato so this move to this more speak singing style is very wise because now she sounds in her element and no longer has to be compared to the other female vocalists out there.
Another detail that differs this track release from anything around is that it’s a video release and not just a single for download at this point. Instead, fans are watching the audio video on Spotify or Youtube and the content doesn’t have lyrics but instead the entire song set to a close up of Gomez’s lips singing the song. Later in the day, the single is expected to released for regular download. The video adds to the sex appeal of the song and really set her apart.
