Vampires and werewolves and doppelgangers, oh my! Get ready TVD fans, because you’ll be seeing less of those rerun ghosts soon enough, as the hit CW show The Vampire Diaries will return sooner than expected.
The network announced its fall premiere dates earlier today, shuffling The Vampire Diaries, the Originals, and fan favorite Supernatural to slightly earlier dates.
Previously, Vampire Diaries was scheduled to premier on October 10, but it has been moved to October 3rd. Supernatural followed suit with an original premier date of October 15, now moved to October 8th.
According to The CW, the adjustments will give The Originals a two week lead-in from The Vampire Diaries, before the new show shifts to a Tuesday slot. Along with this news, the network also announced that its new series Reign will be pushed back to premier on October 17th.
Though this is great news for fans of Mystic Falls and other spooky fictitious towns, I’m sure the pressure is on for executive producer and series co-creator Julie Plec and company.
Are you excited that your wait has just been shortened?
