Freema Agyeman has denied claims she will be appearing in Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary special. Whilst replying to fan’s questions on Twitter, Freema addressed her Doctor Who role as Martha Jones.
Agyeman is now starring in ‘The Carrie Diaries’, but played the Tenth Doctor’s companion Martha Jones in Doctor Who’s third series, alongside David Tennant. She has also returned for guest appearances, most recently in the New Year’s 2010 episode, ‘The End Of Time Part 2’.
In other Doctor Who news, SFX has unveiled the new look for the Ice Warriors!
The Martian race will return to the show in an upcoming episode from Mark Gatiss, whom showrunner Steven Moffat has said had “been pitching [the Ice Warriors return] for a while.” Moffat also praised Gatiss’ script, calling it “an absolute cracker”.
Doctor Who returns to BBC One on Saturday 30th March.
