Individuals who pad their pockets from the adult materials on Google Blogger may need to start searching for a different form of income.
Google sent an email to admins informing them that any blogs that link to explicit material will be shut down. While Google allows Bloggers to post adult content directly onto their own blogs, offering links to external sites containing pornographic material that earn the Blogger cash is now barred.
Users also need to pay close attention to the categorization of their explicit content in the settings menu as Google will be targeting these inaccurate categories.
The search engine is going to undertake an active search of the offending blogs and remove them from the blogosphere on June 30 as part of an initial purge to support the new implemented long-term rule.
Blogger was included in Google’s acquisition of Pyer Labs in February of 2003 for a still unknown fee.
