It looks like Sia is back in the game, and we could not be happier. The Australian singer/songwriter recently took to Twitter to confirm she has left retirement. That’s right, according to Take40, the Aussie is back to work writing and singing her own music.
Sia tweeted, “I’m putting out an album in May. No touring, no promo, just music.” She has since removed the tweet from her account.
It is also reports that the musician quit the biz back in February 2012 when she announced that she was struggling with the many demands of fame.
Last year, Sia revealed in an interview that this time around she has signed a contract that would not require her to tour or promote her album. Instead, she says she will “get to sit at home with the dogs on the sofa, record in a closet in the office, send them off and, if I’m lucky, make a million dollars.

After her retirement Sia went on to write hit music for the likes of Beyonce, Rihanna, Katy Perry and Brittany Spears. The music icons have all praised Sia’s talents, calling her a “genius,”.
Alongside appearing on the soundtracks of The Great Gatsby and Hunger Games: Catching Fire, she also loaned and song writing skills to David Guetta and Glee star Lea Michele.
