Now I don’t know about you, but I don’t know that many people of the older generation (hi Dad!) who would even know what an AMA is, let alone have the time to take part in one.
But that’s exactly what iconic actor and star of the new film Mr. Holmes, Sir Ian McKellen, did today; although he didn’t answer many questions, he no doubt delighted those who received an answer from him.
The two-time Oscar nominee took time out of his busy schedule to answer about 30 questions from an estimated 500 he received, with the topics ranging from what animal he’d have for a sidekick,
A dog, preferably a boxer. Preferably a bitch. Preferably one who would outlive me.
to his relationship with Sir Patrick Stewart,
I’m the guy who advised him not to do Star Trek.
As well as his hopes for the LGBT community after the historic Supreme Court ruling,
I’m just sorry that there are still people in the USA that are not yet ready to accept that the law should treat everybody the same.
It isn’t as if Sir Ian needs to prove to anyone how awesome he is (we knew that already, right?), but if anyone had ever doubted it before, chances are this AMA might have just silenced them.
