Sean seemed to be thrilled with the new addition to the cast tweeting: “I couldn’t be more excited to do LIVE theatre every week with @meganhilty on my new TV sitcom @SeanSavesWorld this Fall on @nbc”.

With Megan tweeting shortly after, “INCREDIBLY excited about my new gig on @nbc’s @SeanSavesWorld! Can’t wait to play with the amazing @theseanhayes again!! WOOHOO!!”.

In the new comedy, Hilty will play Liz, best friend and colleague to Hayes’ main character, a single, gay dad figuring out how to balance raising his teenage daughter and his temperamental new boss. Hilty is replacing Lindsay Sloane, who played the character in the show’s pilot.

“Sean Saves the World” will air Thursdays at 9 p.m. on NBC this fall.
