Looking in one direction but seeing two?!
Madame Tussauds have today (April 18) officially unveiled wax figures of the five members of One Direction, and the boys themselves came face to face with their doubles! Compared to some pretty unrealistic wax works that have been revealed in the past, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson’s counterparts seem rather accurate! And the pop stars agree! Malik declared the sculptures to be “wicked, they’re bang on,” and Styles also approved, calling them “amazing and such an honour”. Horan was actually unnerved by the reality of the imitation, observing that “this is weird – he’s wearing my actual shoes.” Payne commented that having their wax equivalents being introduced into the famous London attraction is “definitely a privilege.”
The One Direction figures will remain in Madame Tussauds London until July 11 (and my friends and I shall definitely be visiting them!) before heading to New York from July 19 to October 11, and then being shown in Sydney, Australia from October 24 to January 28 next year.
Do you think the wax One Direction replicas are a good likeness? Will you be going to visit them in London, New York or Sydney? Let us here at PopWrapped know!
