Songs To Start Off 2018 Right

Bring in 2018 the right way! PopWrapped gives you some songs to listen to while bringing in 2018.

2017 had its ups and downs, but not in terms of music. What better way to bring in 2018 than listening to great music. Here at PopWrapped we want to bring in 2018 with some of the best musical artists to date. Check out what songs can help you start 2018 the right way.

Kelsea Ballerini – “Legends”

“Legends” is the lead single from Ballerini’s second album. The song reflects back on past relationships, although when you listen to the song you might have your own interpretation of what it means to you. This song best fits for 2018 in the sense that we all need reflecting (relationships, adventures gone by, or just self-reflection)

Ed Sheeran feat. Beyonce – “Perfect”

Who knew we needed this in our lives. Two of the biggest artists of the year working together on Ed’s gorgeous song. Who could ask for anything better? I am excited to see what 2018 holds for them.

Maroon 5 feat. SZA – “What Lovers Do”

Let’s be honest for a moment – no one wants to get messed around with. This song shows that everyone just needs to be real and stop pretending to be people they are not.

Sugarland – “Still The Same”

This song hits home for me. Since this is their first single since 2011, Sugarland wants fans to know that they are still the same band that they were since they started. For 2018 this song works because it keeps reminding people that no matter where you have been, we are still the same as we were before.

Imagine Dragons – “Believer”

This song proves that you believe in yourself anything is possible. 2018 more so now than ever we need to believe in ourselves to have a positive outcome come out of it.

The Chainsmokers feat. Halsey – “Closer”

Bebe Rexha feat. Flordia Georgia Line – “Meant To Be”

This song can be interpreted in many different ways. I think this is a good song for 2018 because it gives everyone a different meaning to the song. Whatever you think the song’s meaning is to you it is just meant to be.

Ed Sheeran – “Shape Of You”

Let’s be honest, did you really think Ed Sheeran wasn’t going to continue to be amazing in 2018?

Taylor Swift – “New Year’s Day”

Of course we had to add T-Swift to the mix. Closing her newest album Reputation, she creates this acoustic ballad. Swift explained the story behind the song to her fans at an iHeartRadio Reputation Release Party: “We threw a big New Year’s Eve party in London this year, and I was thinking about how everybody talks and thinks about who you kiss at midnight. Like it’s this big romantic idea of like, ‘who are you gonna kiss at midnight, like ring in the New Year.’ And I think that is very romantic. But I think there’s something even more romantic about who’s gonna deal with you on New Year’s Day. Who’s willing to give you Advil and clean up the house. I think that states more of a permanence. So I was thinking about that, and I wrote this song called ‘New Year’s Day.’” I am curious to know what she has in store for 2018.
