Sophie Doyle Ryder Drops EP Teaser “Hunni Hunni”

“I hope it brings people as much joy as it brought me to sing and write.”

Rising 19-year-old Irish pop star Sophie Doyle Ryder has dropped the first teaser of her upcoming debut EP ‘Beginner’s Luck’ in the form of infectious party anthem “Hunni Hunni.” She’s an artist who strives to spread happiness through her music and shares of her new release: “I’m beyond excited for the world to forget their troubles and dance along to ‘Hunni Hunni.’ I hope it brings people as much joy as it brought me to sing and write.”

Ryder, who will perform a debut headline gig at Whetan’s in Dublin on October 30th, is ready to let go of the world’s seriousness – something showcased through a number of her previous releases. “Hunni Hunni” displays a readiness and an eagerness to embark on a new, more positive trajectory. Fresh out of school, it also marks the start of a new chapter in her life and career. Her voice is no longer coated with hopeless longing and guilt, but instead projects an air of self-determination and hunger for life – inspired by the likes of Ariana Grande and Griff, she writes songs that are bright, fun and epically infectious, some of which feature on her forthcoming EP.

‘Beginner’s Luck’ will act as a timeline of the crazy ride Summer 2021 has been and, according to Ryder, offer an accurate representation of who she is an artist, as she explains: “You can really feel the rollercoaster of emotions throughout.”
