Viva Forever will be ending its run on stage next month.
The musical based on Spice Girls tunes (written by Jennifer Saunders) will officially be closing up shop on June 26th.
According to the Daily Mail the members of the cast were told as they were coming off the stage after their performance on Wednesday night.
Back in February Viva Forever got the go ahead to be extended until February 2014, but that didn’t stop the less than lackluster reviews affecting attendance which now sees the end coming sooner rather than later.
A few members of the cast took to twitter to announce the sad news of the shows ending, and Geri Halliwell (the only member of the band to respond to the news so far) replied to a fan’s question about how her day was by saying, “Unexpected…’good’ & ‘bad’, feeling dunno – sometimes things just happen.”
