Yeah, you read that right – The Simpsons are doing a live stage-show this September. Let the confusion ensue…
To coincide with the show’s 26th season premiere, there will be a special live show come this fall. The event will be held at the Hollywood Bowl and will be hosted by Hank Azaria, one of the main voice actors for the show, who has brought life to iconic roles such as Moe, Apu, Chief Wiggum, and Comic Book Guy.
Guests will include fellow Simpsons stars Nancy Cartwright (Bart Simpson) and Yeardley Smith (Lisa Simpson), and special guests such as “Weird Al” Yankovic, Jon Lovitz, Beverly D’Angelo and many others who are yet to be announced.
However, Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner and Harry Shearer, who voice (altogether) some of the core characters in the show, seem not to be involved. Hopefully they are involved, because it just would not be a Simpsons event without Homer, Marge, Mr. Burns, Ned Flanders, Krusty the Clown and dozens of others.
