‘Creed 2’ has Started Filming

Rocky, Creed, and boxing fans are all jabbing for joy, as Stallone has confirmed via twitter and instagram that Creed 2 has started filming.

Rocky, Creed, and boxing fans are all jabbing for joy, as Stallone has confirmed via twitter and instagram that Creed 2 has started filming.

We are very excited too, Stallone, and are ready to see you return as this iconic character. The first movie Creed follows the career of Adonis Johnson Creed, (Michael B. Jordan) and his mentor Rocky Balboa (Sylvestor Stallone). With training from Balboa, Johnson becomes the light heavyweight champion.

Creed 2 will have Rocky fans feeling even more nostalgia as the plot again brings us back to Rocky 4. In Rocky 4, Balboa goes after Ivan Drago for killing his best friend, and Adonis Johnson Creed’s father, Apollo Creed, in a fight. Rocky challenges Drago to a fight to get revenge for his friend, and ends up winning by knockout.  In Creed 2, Johnson Creed will be facing the son of Ivan Drago, Vitor Drago. This only seems fitting for both sons to have this face off. Only, we are pretty sure things might get ugly between Rocky and Ivan, as well. Dolph Lundgren will be returning to reprise his role as Ivan Drago, and they have cast newcomer Florian Munteanu to play his son Vitor Drago.

We sure can’t wait to see what these actors bring to the big screen sometime later this year. At least we know that with Sylvestor Stallone this movie is sure to be a total knockout.
