Beam them up, Celestis!
Houston based company Celestis runs a service that takes partial remains up to space and brings them back. The company has begun work on a new project, the “Final Frontier”. This will take Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, his wife, and the actor who played Scotty to space for their final resting places, along with some hair from the sci-fi writer Arthur C. Clarke.
The Final Frontier plans to be launched with a big solar sail that was planned by NASA, sometime next year. Fans and other patrons of interest can pay to have digital files, photos and DNA samples sent along with the remains.
