Stars of ‘Awkward’ Talk New Faces Anthony Michael Hall & Nolan Funk

A couple week’s ago we briefly mentioned that Nolan Funk had been cast as this season’s bad boy on MTV’s Awkwardand now the main cast members have sat down and talked about how ridiculously good looking Nolan is, and how ‘Hart-less’ Anthony Michael Hall’s character is.

For lovers of 80s movies, Anthony Michael Hall will be recognizable for his roles in National Lampoon’s Vacation (Rusty), Sixteen Candles (Farmer Ted), The Breakfast Club (Brian) & Weird Science (Gary). Now in Awkward he plays Mr. Hart, Jenna’s creative writing teacher supposedly, without a heart. But if past teen shows are any indication, perhaps Mr. Hart’s challenges and motivation of Jenna are coming from a place not completely evil.

Has for Funk, he plays Collin James, a prep school transfer with some drama to bring into Jenna’s life. As Ashley Rickards, who plays Jenna, states, “True to Awkward form, all the guys are really attractive…and true to Awkward form, attractive form brig drama.” OH, and Brett Davern finds Nolan Funk REALLY attractive, if I haven’t mentioned that already.
