In the wake of last week’s tragedy in Charleston, South Carolina, which saw nine worshippers shot dead during a Bible study group by 21-year-old Dylann Roof, world-renowned author Stephen King has taken to Twitter to voice his displeasure towards those who don’t take ownership of such deadly weapons seriously and with the care they should.
Never one to mince his words, in a series of tweets posted via his verified account @StephenKing:
Until responsible gun owners support responsible gun control laws, innocent blood will continue to flow. How many times must we see this?

The issue of gun ownership is one strongly defended by many Americans, who quote the Second Amendment of the US Constitution, while time and time again the country as a whole finds itself in the media for horrific, tragic reasons. There is no denying that many gun owners are responsible and abide by the laws and rules which come with owning a weapon, however it is those who don’t who ensure the argument over guns will continue to rage for quite some time to come, potentially at the cost of many more lives.
