The Stripped line-up has finally been revealed, and it includes Neil Gaimon and Grant Morrison! The spin-off of the Edinburgh Book Festival has an absolutely packed schedule and will run from August 10-26.
Morrison and Gaiman will join fellow creators Joe Sacco, Posy Simmonds, Robbie Morrison, Paul Cornell, Kieron Gillen, Jamie McKelvie, Chris Ware, Garen Ewing and Bryan and Mary Talbot as keynote speakers at the event. And, the Storytellers Go Head to Head event on August 26 will feature an appearance by acclaimed novelist, Margaret Atwood.
You can also expect to see Gaiman discussing his wildly popular The Sandman series as a precursor to the release of the prequel’s miniseries in late 2013.
The event, which celebrates comics and graphic novels, boasts a weekend-long mini comic book fair geared towards independent comics and creators.
The Edinburgh Book Festival has never before offered such an event as this. Stripped is the first event that offers such a vast focus on the medium of comics. The full program schedule may be accessed via the event website.
