Ever wondered who was behind the amazing concept art work for various sci-fi films including Kick Ass and X-Men: First Class? Well if you didn’t already know his name is Matthew Savage and he seems to be very famous in the concept artist world.

But what you may not know is that before he worked on movies he was heavily involved on reinventing Doctor Who for its return back in 2005! If you’re a massive Doctor Who fan like me then you’ll love Savage’s blog which is filled with Doctor Who art work he’s done over the years, as well as other science related sketches. Look out for his pretty spectacular concept of the Mars Rover, it’s one of my favourites!

One of the things I love about Savage’s work is a lot of it’s done ‘for fun’ while he’s ‘messing around with Sketch up’, yet the work is just as amazing as the stuff he’s done for his job. He seems like a pretty cool guy, and I’m definitely going to follow his blog from now on.
