With Man Of Steel being a serious installment for DC films and comic book adaptations for television becoming so trending lately, there’s a Superman prequel currently in the works. Reportedly, a brand-new show named Krypton is scheduled to arrive on SyFy.
As you can tell, Krypton is scheduled to be set on the planet Superman comes from. However, it will be much earlier in time to actually see the well-known superhero. In fact, SyFy’s forthcoming series will revolve around the adventures of Clark Kent’s actual grandfather, long before the planet was about to be torn apart. We might very well find out a lot about the actual story of that flying man made of steel, but it’s not likely that we will see him in the show.
DC’s very own David S. Goyer has joined his forces with Once Upon A Time’s Ian Goldberg to put the story together, for the latter to write the script. In addition to that, the two will also executive produce Krypton, while Warner Horizon Television and DC Comics will be responsible for destribution.
