As if the 9th season finale alone wasn’t enough to get Supernatural fans in a fuss, it’s been announced recently that fan favorite characters Crowley and Castiel will be elevated to regular status when the show returns for its 10th season this Fall.
It’s been noted that Crowley’s role will be especially significant, and given what happened to a certain Mark of Cain-wearing Winchester in the final moments of the last episode, one can’t say that’s all too surprising. What they can say, however, is that it’s absolutely fantastic news! In a season full of super high ups and super low downs, Mark Sheppard always hit a home run with his interpretation of the Crowley character.
I’m not so sure what direction Castiel will take next season, but with his grace ever-depleting and with Heaven in as big of a disorganized mess as it is, things are bound to get interesting.
At the time of writing, Supernatural’s official return date is October 7th at 8/9c on the CW.
