Supernatural fans rejoiced when stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki announced today (August 24) that the hit CW TV show would be picked up for an 11th season. The stars were doing a panel at VanCon when the announcement was released.

No confirmation on when season 11 is due to start filming, but in the mean time, fans can get excited about the upcoming season 10, set to air in October.
