The annual SXSW conference held in Austin, Texas, is the source for all things music, film and new emerging technologies. Fede Alvarez director and co-writer of the 2013 remake of horror classic The Evil Dead, confirmed yesterday at the world premiere of the film at SXSW, that The Evil Dead 2 script is already underway.
The R-rated film (18, UK) stars Jane Levy (Suburgatory) Shiloh Fernandez (Red Riding Hood) Jessica Lucas (Cult) Lou Taylor Pucci and Elizabeth Blackmore. The remake follows the teenagers’ as they unleash the evil entities from the ‘book of dead’. A number of trailers have been released for the bloody gore-fest, with a few red band trailers making their way online. Watch The Evil Dead trailer below:

The Evil Dead is released in cinemas 5th April in the US and 19th April in the UK.
