He will be play an “emotionally troubled” pathologist, Dr Alan Farragut who works for the Center for Disease Control. Farragut is dealing with the aftermath of his wife and brother having an affair and ruining his marriage.
Dramatic, right? Well it gets worse. Alan’s brother has been infected with a deadly illness and goes to Alan for help.
Helix was developed by Battlestar Galactica‘s Ron Moore, and has been signed by the Syfy network for thirteen episodes. The show is based around a group of specially trained scientists that fight to save the human race from an outbreak of this aforementioned deadly illness.
The show begins filming in July, and is set to air later this year.
