Liam Neeson will reprise his role as Bryan Mills, an overprotective yet badass father, for Taken 3. That’s right, Neeson will be kicking butt for the third time in this installment, and he will be paid a lot to do it.
The Guardian reports that 20th Century Fox and Luc Besson‘s EuropaCorp production company will pay the actor $20m for his role reprisal. The 61-year-old plays an ex-CIA member seeking revenge for his family in the film.
Although Neeson was hesitant about taking on the films sequel, he was secured to remain part of the installment. Fox and EuropaCorp are also trying to get Neeson’s costars Maggie Grace and Famke Janssen to return for the third film.
Director of the first two films, Olivier Megaton, is unlikely to return. However, the screenwriters who wrote Taken 2, Besson and Robert Mark Kamen, have written the script for the third film.
Film production is scheduled to commence in February 2014.
