While Ariana Grande continues to find herself in trouble, her sweetheart counterpart Taylor Swift continues to prove herself to be a great role model to everyone.
Not content with having already sent Christmas presents to fans, and regularly responding to their Tumblr posts and messages, she’s now donated $50,000 to the GoFundMe page of a sick young fan who couldn’t attend a concert of hers in Phoenix, Arizona after being diagnosed with leukemia.
Two days ago, Naomi Oakes and her family were made aware of the donation and shared this video of Naomi realising that Taylor had sent her a message:
The donation exceeded GoFundMe’s $15,000 limit, and means Taylor is the site’s biggest donor in history. In a statement on their website, CEO Rob Solomon wrote:
“Taylor Swift’s donation was so generous that it required us to increase the donation limit on the platform. As a result of Swift’s action, GoFundMe’s new donation cap is $50,000 in a single transaction. There are never any limits on how much a campaign can raise. What Ms. Swift has done for Naomi and others can inspire the next generation of giving.”
We here at PopWrapped think Taylor is an amazing person for having such a big heart, and we send our love and best wishes to Naomi and her family.
