This calls for a celebration DC fans!

There have been talks of a Teen Titans television series for the cable network TNT. For those of you who are majorly missing out, Teen Titans are a group of DC Comics characters that have been around since the 60’s, and continue to be a major staple for DC. From a super successful animated series on Cartoon Network, to multiple comics, animated movies and much more, there has always been a craving for more Teen Titans and fans like myself were thrilled when the cable drama network was confirmed to be working on a pilot.

DC’s Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns shared over a year ago that the pilot would shoot sometime in 2015, but since then casting announcements and production details have been practically non-existent. Now, as we appraoch the end of the year, TV Line is reporting that there are STILL plans to revitalize the fan favorite ensemble for our television screens – we just aren’t sure who will be on the Teen Titans roster this time around, other than Nightwing, Starfire, and Raven. If i had to pick hopefuls for the team I would love to see DC and TNT include my personal favorite Terra, the earth altering misunderstood femme fatale, Beast Boy, the green shapeshifter, and maybe even Kid Devil or Miss Martian? From the few details we have learned, the Titans won’t actually be in their teen years and more in their transitional 20’s; Teen Titans will also have some previously established heroes and a mix of new, which is a better fit for the network and closer to the age of its fans who grew up with the characters.

With Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Gotham, and who knows how many DC Comics series down the pipeline, perhaps it has been smart to wait for the opportune moment to strike… and if the characters are as interesting and diverse as they are in the comics, TNT could have a major hit series on the horizon.
