Terry Waldo & Tatiana Eva-Marie Present “I Double Dare You”

“It’s a very fun, lighthearted party song; the kind you want to drink, dance and flirt to…”

In a time when we’ve all been staying connected through electronic devices, two distinguished artists bring us back to a time when people would gather together in person and create great non-electronic music for fun. Legendary jazz pianist, composer and historian Terry Waldo, and internationally renowned jazz vocalist Tatiana Eva-Marie take us back nearly a century with their new 12-track album of classic 20s and 30s jazz songs, titled ‘I Double Dare You.’ Ahead of the collection dropping on August 16th, PopWrapped are delighted to premiere the video for the album’s title track.

“I Double Dare You” is a 1937 classic jazz song by Terry Shand and Jimmy Eaton. The song depicts a charming flirtatious banter with a love interest who apparently needs a bit of prompting. Since the original release in 1937, the song has been covered by legendary trumpeter and vocalist Louis Armstrong and six-time Tony Award-winner Audra McDonald.

This new video features Waldo on the piano with his band of exceptional jazz artists that all look like they stepped out of the Great Gatsby era, while Tatiana Eva-Marie is front and center, delivering plenty of energy and charm along with her gorgeous vocal talents.  Tatiana says of “I Double Dare You”: “It’s a very fun, lighthearted party song; the kind you want to drink, dance and flirt to. We wanted to recreate that atmosphere in the video and share the joy we all get out of playing together.”

Check out the video for “I Double Dare You” below, and you can find out more about Terry Waldo and Tatiana Eva-Marie’s new album ‘I Double Dare You’ on the website of their label, Turtle Bay Records along with their Facebook and Instagram.
