The Biebs Gets Snubbed By Canada's Polaris Awards!

Justin Bieber may have won quite a few awards, but he won’t be winning a Polaris Award anytime soon.

The 19-year-old singer was not on the list of nominated artist for the Canadian award, which has a $30,000 best album prize voted on by numerous critics.

Even though Bieber is arguably Canada’s biggest teen pop star, none of his five albums have been recognized.

Bieber has had some bad press lately, from assault and battery charges to the infamous Anne Frank incident, but that may not have been his problem - the teen’s sound is a lot different from that of past winners, which include Arcade Fire and Feist.

The final list will be posted July 13th, with the winners being announced September 23rd.  HuffPost Canada noted that potential nominees could include pop duo Tegan and Sara and Bieber’s friend Carly Rae Jepsen.
