Aimee Teegarden and Matt Lanter are teaming up at Comic Con for the panel of CW’s new sci-fi drama-romance, Star Crossed.
The former Friday Night Lights star and 90210 alum, were joined on the panel by show creator Meredith Averill, co-showrunner Adele Lim and Grey Damon (also from Friday Night Lights.) The panel dished on the show before previewing a pilot which comes across as very alienesque Romeo & Juliet retelling Deadline reports,
“Human Emery (Teegarden) and extraterrestrial Roman (Lanter) first meet as 6-year-olds the day an alien race known as the Atrians crash land on Earth. Ten years later, the surviving “invaders” have been quarantined and segregated, a group of their heartthrob teen offspring integrated into the local high school as part of an experiment in cultural integration.”
Damon’s character, though not as obvious in the pilot, is the human love interest of Emery and of course a very Twilight-inspired love triangle ensues. “The triangle’s an important part of the show,” said Averill, “and Roman and Grayson rep two very different but equally attractive choices,” says Averill.
