The Fault in Our Stars movie now has an Isaac and a Mrs. Grace. Laura Dern will hit the screen as Hazel Grace’s mother, while Isaac will be portrayed by fresh face, Nat Wolff.
The Fault in Our Stars, based on John Greens young adult novel of the same name, will star Ansel Eglort and Shailene Woodley as romantic leads Augustus Waters and Hazel Grace, two terminally ill cancer patients who fall in love.
The casting of Mrs. Grace and Isaac was announced today, both characters vital to the story. EW reports that Wolff will take on the key role of Isaac, Augustus’ best friend and source of comedy in the emotional story.
Not to mention he is the one who brings Augustus to the cancer support group where he meets the love of his life, Hazel.
Strong parental figures are needed for a movie to resonate with viewers, so Laura Dern has her work cut out for her as the mother of the movies main player. Dern is most recognizable for her work in Jurassic Park and Wild at Heart, as well as her involvement in the short-lived seriesEnlightened, reports DigitalSpy.
The Fault In Our Stars will start filming in Pittsburgh next month.
Who is ready to have your heart ripped out then shoved back into your chest again by the film adaptation of the heart wrenchingly emotional John Green novel? The film will make us ugly sob and feel all the feels, and Green will love every second of every minute that we cry.
