Filming locations have been announced for Mockingjay, the third movie in the Hunger Games trilogy. Mockingjay will be released in two parts on the big screen, with the first part hitting theaters in November, 2014. Production Weekly tweeted that production had begun on the film and they would be filming in Atlanta, Boston, and Los Angeles.
While the filming in Atlanta is normal, since a lot of the production for the previous movies has been done there, the trip to Boston has fans wondering what the Massachusetts scenery could be providing the backdrop for…perhaps the streets of the Capitol? Or maybe it’s the setting for District 13 and the site of the secret rebel base. We suppose only time will tell…but in the meantime, our curiosity is piqued.
Don’t forget to check out the second film in the Hunger Games franchise, Catching Fire, which will be in theaters November 22nd.
