The Killers Pay Homage To Wembley Arena In Song

On June 22, the Las Vegas based rock band, The Killers headlined at Wembley Stadium in London for the first time. The venue made such a large impact on the band, that they announced and performed a song, “Wembley Song,” about the famous stadium.

In the song, the band referenced some of the venue’s past glories and headline acts such as England winning the 1966 World Cup, The Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters and  Coldplay.

“We’d like to take a second to sincerely thank those of you who made it out to the Wembley Stadium show last month. What a real pleasure it was to play for you all. We filmed some of the shot and caught the Wembley song on tape.” the band said about the show and the song.
