We all remember the drama that lead to Rihanna’s first split with Chris Brown back in 2009. Brown was charged with assault and the couple split. Both went into hiding, Rihanna returned and continued on with her pop chart domination while Brown became a villain (rightly so). In 2012 rumors began swirling that the pair was (unfortunately) back together. This past January the pop superstar confirmed that she was back with Brown, and it has been a wild ride ever since!
Just a few weeks ago Power 106 tweeted that Brown admitted he and Rihanna were no longer together. Which made Rihanna’s cryptic tweets and instagrams a lot more clear. But it was 100% clear because Brown later stated ”I didn’t really lie, I just didn’t tell the truth.” Later that week when speaking with Matt Lauer, Breezy was filled with remorse and humbled by all he’s been through. Was he trying to win RiRi back?
The duo have been seen out about on their own and living it up! Brown caught a Nick’s game while Rihanna spent some time with the Laker’s. The biggest indicator of trouble in paradise? While RiRi was watching some hoops Brown was spotted with a mystery blonde! Breezy even went the extra mile and sent her a bottle of bubbly.
Rihanna was also absent from Brown’s latest probation hearing as she was too busy smoking a blunt with some dudes to stand by her man. But hey, after what he did I don’t really blame her. Sources say that the reason of their split was due to Rihanna’s need to focus on her career right now. The singer took the stage last night and LA to a packed house. Celebs like Christina Aguilera and Kendall Jenner were in attendance. Also chilling and watching the show? Chris Brown.
So back to my question… Are they or aren’t they? Many sources say this is just the game they play. Will they forever be an on-again-off-again couple?
