The Strangers are back, and this time they are looking to add to the body count.
The popular horror film The Strangers will be turning 10 this year, a film that still to this day manages to scare up new fans. As a project that had been in development for several years now, the highly anticipated horror sequel will finally be hitting theatres in March and a full trailer has been released to offer us a glimpse at what havoc the three masked murders are getting into once more. In the trailer for The Strangers: Prey at Night, we see Mad Men star Christina Hendricks and her family passing through a trailer park that seems abandoned until experiencing a life-changing knock on the door that will certainly seem all too familiar to those who remember the first Strangers film.
The first footage of The Strangers sequel is such a massive reminder that the slasher genre is still very much prevalent and capable of bringing scares to audiences who have become accustomed to ghost or paranormal horror movies. From dazzling glimpses at dark atmospheric tones to the seemingly pleasant cinematography, The Strangers: Prey at Night is trying to remind us that even though it may have been years since The Strangers initially drew blood, they will make us remember why we were scared of the trio in the first place.
